EPRA Announces Increased Fuel Prices for July to August 2025

Kenyans are grappling with another round of fuel price hikes as the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced significant increases for the July 15–August 14 pricing cycle.

On July 14, 2025, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced an increase in fuel prices, marking one of the most significant surges in prices this year. According to EPRA’s official review, the new pump prices in Nairobi are as follows:

  • Super Petrol: Ksh 186.31 per litre (+Ksh 8.99)
  • Diesel: Ksh 171.58 per litre (+Ksh 8.67)
  • Kerosene: Ksh 156.58 per litre (+Ksh 9.65)

As reported in The Standard, the landed cost of fuel rose sharply from May to June with Super petrol increasing by 6.45%, Diesel by 6.27% and Kerosene also increasing by 6.95%.
